Dear Parents,
We are excited to announce that the Literacy month has officially started in our school and in our classroom! Can we do it without you? NO! Do we need a little of your time and active participation? YES!
We want to bring to your attention the special projects that are going to take place in our classroom and school this coming week.
Parents Read Aloud!
We are sure that there are a few of "my child's favorite" books that you know by heart and that have been asked to read again, again and again. Guess what? You are cordially invited to visit our class and read aloud your child's favorite book to you child and his or her friends. It is going to be a very special experience for your child and you. Do not be shy; sign up for reading to our class. You can come any day (except Fridays) from 9:00-10:30 A.M. or from 1:30-3:00 P.M. Please e-mail morahinna@gmail.com with the date and time you can come to the class. Book Sale!
This coming week is our Literacy Month BOOK SALE!!
At the sale there will be great books from both general and Jewish publishers. The Book Sale is a great way to teach children how to choose good books- looking at the cover, at pictures of the book and predicting what this book might be about. Our class will visit the Book Sale on Tuesday to purchase books. Before going to the sale, please browse through the books and your child choose a book to purchase. Have a discussion about what kind of books would be good to buy. Please SEND IN $10 with your child by Monday.
