When you read the sentences, (under the pictures,) to your child; ask her to look at the photos and find the picture that matches the word. This will help the children learn to connect the pictures to the text as they begin to read. Discuss the different dishes that are made from apples (i.e. applesauce, apple juice, apple bread, dried apples etc.) Take your child to the shop and direct her attention to all the different names that apples have. Buy different varieties of apples, test them and discuss which one you like the most.
